Last night on The Voice, a little known Seattle musician by the name of Mycle Wastman performed the Al Green classic "Let's Stay Together" to which three of the four judges (Cee-Lo, Blake and Adam) all turned around wanting him on their team. With a tough decision on his hands, Wastman chose Cee-Lo as his coach.
I had the opportunity to see Mycle live at a small club in Seattle called Baba-Lu's after my friend Daria had told me how awesome this guy was live... And she wasn't kidding! This guy was not only talented, but could sing the hell out of any song he performed. But for me, his cover of the King of Pop classic Billie Jean (complete with impromtu dance moves) blew my socks off! I never understood why he never made it big, because he had the raw talent to do so like that of great Seattle artists that have graced us.
From what I saw last night, I seriously think he could win season three of The Voice. If you don't believe me check out this video of "Real Woman." Mark my words, this guy is going to be huge!
