Another One Bites The Dust on American Idol... Who Was It?

First things first, in case you were wondering why there wasn't a recap post today, I actually had one ready to go that was going to be posted later due to being sick. However, thanks to my stupid MacBook battery crapping out on me, all the stuff I had written down wasn't draft saved for some reason. Because of this I appologize for no recap.

Anyway, this week it was anyone's game to win with the shocking elimination of fan favorite Colton Dixon. The contestants had to do two songs a piece. The first being a song by legendary rock act, Queen, and the second was a song of their choice. The bottom three came down to regulars Hollie Cavanaugh and Elise Testone with country songstress Skylar Lane rounding out the bottom three. However we didn't get another shocker this week and Skylar was sent back to the safe zone, leaving it down to Hollie and Elise. Unfortunately Elise wasn't able to dodge another bullet like she had done in the previous weeks and was sent packing.

I don't know about you but this season hasn't been the greatest - as a matter of fact it has sucked! We have two in the competition that should have been eliminated weeks ago (Jessica Sanchez and Hollie Cavanaugh) and thanks to the judges shoving one of them down our throats each week (Jessica), they go and save her when she was given the boot. I don't understand why Elise was always in the bottom three each week? She had more talent than Jessica and Hollie combined. Skylar in the bottom three is puzzling as well as she and Joshua had the best performances this week. However this has brought me to think (and I will have a post on this later this week) is the judges save ruining Idol? BTW J-Lo's comments to Phillip for his awesome DMB cover were uncalled for. It just goes to show she needs to be kicked off as a judge, she has no clue how to judge these contestants and makes Nicole Scherzinger look like a good judge. I seriously hope Skylar or Phillip win this season, that's the only thing that's going to save this mediocre train wreck.
