Back in 2009, I was asked to cover Deck The Hall Ball 107.7 The End. The bill featured a stacked lineup including this band Metric. Unfortunately, due to nasty weather I ended up getting wrecking my car on the interstate outside of Ellensburg, WA. However, that didn't stop me from missing a big opportunity like shooting Deck. I missed out on shooting most of the show and made it just in time for Metric, but didn't get to shoot them. This time I wasn't going to let that stop me and sure enough it didn't. Metric amazed me in 2009, and they were even better in 2012.

Metric is a Canadian indie rock and New Wave band founded in 1998 in Toronto. The band has also at various times been based in Montreal, London, New York City and for a short time Los Angeles. Metric consists of vocalist Emily Haines (who also plays the synthesizer and guitar), guitarist James Shaw (who also plays the synthesizer and theremin), bassist Joshua Winstead and drummer Joules Scott-Key.
