This labor day weekend, i crossed off two bands I had on my bucket list. One of them was Dave Matthews Band whom played three shows at The Gorge Amphitheater during the holiday. As most people probably don;t know, DMB plays every year during this time and the legion of fans spend the weekend camping at The Gorge which sits near the Columbia River.

However calling DMB fan's a fanbase would be disrespectful, they are a community that is not only humble but very friendly as well. Many of the fans came from all over as well. One gentleman I talked to had droven from Salt Lake City, UT just to see DMB for the 5th time. Other had traveled from the midwest, such as Chicago. I have been a DMB fan, but had never seen them live and made it my goal for this year after seeing Phillip Phillps on American Idol, to finally cross them off my bucket list. It took me 5 years to finally achieve this and I must say it was wait well worth it. 

However next time I do cover DMB, I am renting a camper and stayng the weekend... Hell I might even do that for Sasquatch next year.
